The birth of the tradition of Thanksgiving celebrations
Almost 400 years ago in 1621, the Wampanoag Indians and the Plymouth Colonists had participated in an autumn harvest feast which is believed today as one of the earliest instances of Thanksgiving celebrations. It has been over two hundred years that this particular day has been observed as first thanksgiving in different states and colonies.
